Welcome, world! You’ve entered the web space in another edition of the TRU Muscle journal, a place where health is wealth.
In this entry, I’m going to talk about some food products you can consume, which have been scientifically proven to pound away belly fat. So put on your flab-punching fighting gloves and get ready to learn something. Like I always say, your abs are made in the kitchen. The food you eat and the beverages you drink will always make or break your waistline.
For a good research source to write this article, I chose to read up on one of my favorite health food websites called Eat This, Not That (EatThis.com)! What I love about the content on this website is that the editors always back their claims up with facts, not smoke and mirrors.
So without further ado, I’m going to share what I call “super foods” that have been proven to help burn off belly fat.
Some people might not like this whole grain food product, which is commonly eaten at breakfast time. However, oatmeal is better than no meal and honestly, you can eat it at any time of the day. “People who ate three or more daily servings of whole grains [like oatmeal] had 10 percent less belly fat than people who ate the same amount of calories from processed white carbs (bread, rice, pasta), according to a Tufts University study,” wrote an editor at EatThis.com. Also, use fresh berries to sweeten the oatmeal. Using processed sugar defeats the whole purpose.
2. Cayenne Pepper.
This hot and spicy item not only burns your taste buds, it burns the fat off our midsection too. Again, don’t just take my word for it. This is something that has been proven by modern science. “According to a study in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, daily consumption of one of the compounds found in pepper (capsaicin) speeds up abdominal fat loss by boosting the body’s ability to convert food into energy. [Cayenne Pepper] also acts as a natural appetite suppressant,” an edtior at EatThis.com wrote. Cayenne pepper will bring the heat if you are what you eat.
Guacamole is green in color and is often used by rap artists as a metaphor for cash. However, when it comes to the food product’s ability to burn belly fat, this avocado-based fixing is money well spent.
“Not only are avocados rich in vitamin B6—which directly counteracts the belly-fat-building stress hormone, cortisol—they’re also full of monounsaturated fat. This healthy fat may actually prevent body fat distribution around the belly by down-regulating the expression of certain fat genes, according to research in the journal Diabetes Care,” wrote an editor at EatThis.com.
Also, it’s very important to find out about the different healthy and unhealthy fats that are contained in foods.
4. Wild Salmon.
The wise saying of old goes: “Feed a man fish, and he eats for a day. Teach a man to fish and he eats for the rest of his life.” Wild salmon is one fish you can eat that will build up your body’s belly fat-burning ability. “[Salmon] is also a rich source of anti-inflammatory omega-3 fatty acids, which fuel fat burning, block fat storage and aid weight loss,” an editor of EatThis.com wrote while quoting Lauren Minchen, a well-known dietician.
Another good thing about salmon is the protein level. It also doesn’t take forever to digest like ground beef does, which is very hard on your body and digestive system. You always want to eat foods that go through your digestive tract quickly and easily.
This is it, folks. Another entry of the TRU Muscle lifestyle journal is in the books. Everything discussed in this edition dealt with facts about some great “super foods” that will clean up your diet and help you shed unwanted belly fat. If you want to look the best, you have to eat the best. You have to step out of your comfort zone and think twice before putting toxic food and drink products into your body.
Remember, the real challenge comes from the choices you make when you step outside the gym. You see, those of us in the TRU Muscle lifestyle live by one mantra: Be big in the gym, but be bigger in life. Stay in shape and God bless.
